Tatham Art Gallery to host a special concert to celebrate women in song

THE Tatham Art Gallery, in Pietermaritzburg, will be celebrating women in song in a special concert at 7.30 pm on Friday, September 20.

Featuring the talents of Emma Farquharson, Erin Fourie, Audrey Mbuyazi and Nozuko Teto the concert is being presented by the gallery in Chief Albert Luthuli Street, the Friends of the Tatham Art Gallery (Fotag) and Christopher Duigan’s Music Revival.

Classic musical, ‘The Sound of Music’, to be staged at The Playhouse in Durban

Lynelle Kenned and the young actors and actresses playing the Von Trapp children in The Sound of Music at the Playhouse.

The Playhouse Company is set to delight theatre-goers in KwaZulu-Natal with its festive season staging of The Sound of Music, which opens in the magnificent Playhouse Opera Theatre on November 24 and runs until December 30.

Hexagon to host previews of National Arts Festival shows

THE Hexagon Studio Theatre in the Hexagon Theatre complex at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Pietermaritzburg campus is holding a preview of two productions – #SirensRock and Sugar Sugar – which are heading to the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.

The shows can be seen at 6 pm and 7 pm on Friday, July 1. Tickets R40 per show available at the door only. Continue reading
