Violinist Joanna Frankel to perform with Baroque 2000 in Mariannhill
JOANNA Frankel, formerly concertmaster of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform with Baroque 2000 at their September 3 concert at the Church of the Monastery, Mariannhill.
Frankel, now concertmaster of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Ohio, is the soloist in Locatelli’s Violin Concerto Op3 No 12, known as the ‘Harmonic Labyrinth’.
The programme, which starts at 11.30 am, includes another two works by the same composer: the Concerto a 4 “Il pianto d’Arianna” Op7 No6 and his Introduzione Op4 Nno1, and Castrucci’s Concerto Grosso Op3 No.6.
