THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Howard College campus in Durban is hosting a concert by BA (Music) graduate, Zethe, on Wednesday, May 4 at 6 pm.
Zethembiso Mdletshe, fondly known as Zethe, is an Afro/soul/jazz vocalist based in Durban. She has performed in various venues around the country. Some of her musical influences include Somi, Esperanza Spalding, Lindiwe Maxolo, Lalah Hathaway and Asa.
She will be performing mostly her compositions and a few covers. The experimental sounds of Zethe deal with various themes such as self-love, identity, womanhood and overcoming through adversity.
Join Zethe, Zibusiso Makhathini (piano), Dalisu Ndlanzi (bass) and Riley Giandhari (drums) at The Centre for Jazz and Popular music on level 2 of the Shepstone Building.
