THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Howard College campus in Durban will be hosting the Peter Beets Trio, from The Netherlands, at 6 pm on Wednesday, September 27.

Alexander and Peter Beets, together with their friend, Gijs Dijkhuizen, are currently on a tour of South Africa. The band is at the forefront of jazz music in Holland.

The brothers performed together as The Beets Brothers, releasing their debut album in 1990. Two more followed and over the years they have built up an enormous body of work, many in collaboration with other artists.
