DURBAN-based jazz band, Heels over Head, is celebrating Women’s Month with a series of free concerts in the city.

Fans will be able to catch them at 5 pm on Friday, August 11 at the Playhouse Company, 29 Acutt Street, 5 pm at the Rainbow Restaurant on Saturday, August 12, at 23 Stanfield Lane, Pinetown and at 3 pm on Sunday, August 13 at the BAT Centre, 45 Maritime Place. Continue reading

Master pianist, Nduduzo Makhathini, visits KwaZulu-Natal

Pianist, Nduduzo Makhathini, and his band will visit the Luthuli Museum in Groutville, Seaman’s Corner in Hammarsdale and Rainbow Restaurant in Pinetown as part of a tour being held in association with Concerts SA, iSupport Music Business and the Rainbow Restaurant in Pinetown.

Fans can catch him at the following venues:

  • Friday, November 4 at the Luthuli Museum at 3233 Nokukhanya Luthuli Street, Groutville. Doors open at 6pm. Admission is free entrance.
  • Saturday, November 5 at Seaman’s Corner, C568 Dimba Road, Unit 3, Hammarsdale. Doors open at 6pm. Tickets R40 at the door.
  • Sunday, November 6 at the Rainbow Restaurant at 23 Stanfield Lane, Pinetown. Doors open at 1pm. Tickets R100 at webtickets.co.za or 083 463 8044.

Forest Jam Groove Orchestra perform gigs in Durban

The Forest Jam Groove Orchestra will also perform at the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Howard College campus at 6 pm on Wednesay, April 6.
