The Playhouse Company is set to delight theatre-goers in KwaZulu-Natal with its festive season staging of The Sound of Music, which opens in the magnificent Playhouse Opera Theatre on November 24 and runs until December 30.

The Pietermaritzburg Amateur Music Society (PAMS) presents the annual musical treat, George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, at 2.30 pm on Sunday, November 20 at  the Hilton Christian Fellowship Church, 3 Hilton College Road, Hilton.

The magic of the Bolshoi Ballet comes to the big screen at Cinema Nouveau

The season of ballets from Russia’s Bolshoi Ballet company continues with the screening of The Golden Age, which releases at Cinema Nouveau on Saturday, November 12 for limited screenings.

The other productions in this season include: The Nutcracker (December 17), Swan Lake (February 18, 2017), The Sleeping Beauty (March 10), A Contemporary Evening (April 21) and finally, A Hero of our Time (May 12).
