MARITZBURG concert pianist, Christopher Duigan, will be playing a selection of music by Frederic Chopin, which he has recorded for his new CD, Christopher Duigan plays Chopin, at the Tatham Art Gallery in Chief Albert Luthuli Street, Pietermaritzburg at 11.30 am on Sunday, November 27.
Christopher Duigan plays Chopin is Duigan’s first solo album in 12 years and follows his performances of this programme in major centres in South Africa over the past nine months.
The Tatham concert will include Chopin’s most iconic nocturnes, waltzes, the Ballade no 1 and popular Fantasie-Impromptu.

Copies of Christopher Duigan plays Chopin – which includes beautiful photos taken by Jonathan Burton – will be on sale for R100 and Duigan will be on hand to sign copies.

Duigan will also be hosting an exclusive dinner soiree evening to launch Christopher Duigan plays Chopin at 35 Montgomery Drive, Athlone, on Saturday, November 26.
Tickets are R200, which includes dinner from 6.30 pm. Dinner guests should please bring their own wine. Book a table for for more or more or join others at one of the large tables.
For those who wish to attend the concert only the ticket is R120 (including refreshments) with the music starting at approximately 7.45 pm.
