WHETHER you love the ragtime tunes of the inimitable Scott Joplin, French Café classics, or a tango or two, there will be something to delight the ear when pianist, Christopher Duigan, takes the stage with the Gypsy Strings Quartet at St Agnes Church, Kloof, at 7.30pm of Thursday, November 24.
The festive year-end concert, titled Eine Kleine ‘Pop’ Musik, will feature Ralitza Macheva, who is also the leader of the popular Baroque 2000 concerts, on violin Ralitsa Pechoux on cello and Annamaria D’Andrea on viola.
The programme for the evening will include the popular classical melodies, Eine Kleine Nachtmuzik by Mozart, Strauss’ ever popular The Blue Danube Waltz and Radetsky March and a mix of ragtime tunes by Scott Jopin, French Cafe classics and tangos including the popular Por una cabeza.
