Cinema Nouveau to screen ‘The Threepenny Opera’ as part of NT Live

Cinema Nouveau will be screening the landmark of 20th century musical theatre, The Threepenny Opera, by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, in collaboration with Elisabeth Hauptmann, as part of the National Theatre Live series.

This new production was directed by Rufus Norris for the National Theatre on London’s South Bank and filmed live at the Olivier Theatre. Continue reading

Durban Chamber Choir to present a programme titled ‘The Great Mystery’

The Durban Chamber Choir continues its 2016 series of concerts with a programme intriguingly entitled ‘The Great Mystery’.

Performed under the baton of director, Dr Christopher Cockburn, this event, featuring choral music from the 16th and 21st centuries, is being staged at St Thomas’s Church in Musgrave, Durban, on Sunday, October 30 at 3pm.

The programme will be reprised at the Hayfields Lutheran Church in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday, November 6 at 3pm. Continue reading
