Some of the biggest names in South African comedy are about to be unleashed at Sibaya’s iZulu Theatre. Collaborating for the three day Durban Laugh Comedy Festival from October 28 to 30 are Marc Lottering, Joey Rasdien, Yaaseen Barnes, Dalin Oliver and Neville Pillay.
Certain to be one of the highlights of the festival of funny is comedy heavyweight, Lottering (above left) who has been thrilling comedy lovers for years with his hilarious tales from the Cape Flats, touring locally and abroad with hit productions like From the Cape Flats with Love and Hashtag Lottering.
Another featured legend is the ever popular Rasdien (above right) who is widely regarded as one of the greatest comic talents the country has ever produced. The big-haired funny man is sure to be in top form as he brings his unique brand of high energy humour to Sibaya’s stage.
Two-time Comics Choice Awards winner Barnes will make a rare and highly anticipated appearance in Durban. This newly crowned “king of the one-liners” has been making huge waves and is considered the comedy industry’s hottest new property. Fans can expect to give their brains a workout and their funny bones tickled by the wise cracking Barnes.
Joining Barnes from Cape Town is Dalin Oliver, a phenomenal performer who has enjoyed huge success at festivals around the country including multiple sold out runs of his one man show.
Locals Pillay and Boomgaard will be key members of the festivals Durban-based contingent. There will also be appearances by a number of up and coming Durban comics.

- Friday, October 28 at 8pm: Marc Lottering, Joey Rasdien, Masood Boomgaard, Yaaseen Barnes, Neville Pillay and guests.
- Saturday, October 29 at 8pm: Yaaseen Barnes, Neville Pillay, Masood Boomgaard, Dalin Oliver and guests.
- Sunday, October 30 at 3pm: Joey Rasdien, Dalin Oliver, Masood Boomgaard, Neville Pillay and guests.
