SOUTH African concert pianist, Christopher Duigan, will be playing a selection of music by Frederic Chopin, which he has recorded for his new CD, Christopher Duigan plays Chopin, at the Everard Read Gallery at 6 Jellicoe Avenue, Rosebank, at 6.30 pm for 7 pm on Monday, July 31.
Christopher Duigan plays Chopin is Duigan’s first solo album in 12 years and follows his performances of this programme in major centres in South Africa, including at the Hilton Arts Festival and the Marriott Classic Music Festival in Franschhoek.
The album has received regular airplay on Classic FM.
Duigan will play a programme that includes Chopin’s most iconic nocturnes, waltzes, the Ballade no 1 and popular Fantasie-Impromptu.
