MUSIC in the Hills (MiTH) at The Knoll Guesthouse and Backpackers, Knoll Drive, Hilton, is hosting Liana and Gitanas, Craig Martens, Paul Arthur and Mali Zulu on Wednesday, April 6.

Liana and Gitanas: Liana has been singing for many years and has written many of her own songs and Austin made it through to the first round of a well-known TV talent show, while Kyle is a passionate sound engineer, excellent drummer and bass guitarist. Nishalin has been playing tabla for about 15 years.

Craig Martens was born and raised a country boy and essentially an acoustic musician with a singing career spanning four decades. He is the front man for the Bandits and member of Mottled Crew bluegrass outfits.

Paul Arthur, of Black Magic Woman fame, is back from Oz, but has brought the wizardry with him. His blues-rock lead breaks are well-known to the MiTH audience, though it’s been a while.

Mali Zulu plays a mixture of genres raging from Indie, Pop to stripped down house music. Some people call it Charismatic, Charming Music. He is currently based in Pietermaritzburg He also made it to Idols Season 10 (2014) and was in the top 31. Mali has just returned from a tour to the fairest Cape.

MiTH is a semi-open mic music club, which provides an opportunity for musicians to share the joy of their music with a friendly audience which includes fellow musicians – who have all “been there” too. Non-musicians welcome too!

Whether you’re a youngster looking for your first opportunity to perform publicly, or a more experienced/mature musician simply looking for people who are as passionate about music as you are why not head to MiTH.

Musicians who wish to play please contact Kirsten Rae Hughes on 072 220 9757 or e-mail: Performers plus one partner get in free.
