Market Photo Workshop Gallery hosts exhibition of struggle-era photographers

evite_martyrs_fa-02RUNNING until October 23 at the Market Photo Workshop Gallery in Johannesburg, is Martyrs, Saints, and Sell-Outs, a group exhibition featuring anti-apartheid photographers Adil Bradlow, Benny Gool, and Zubeida Vallie.

uShaka Marine World celebrates Heritage Month this September

With Heritage month upon us, uShaka Marine World is aiming to truly embrace the variety of cultures that make up our South African heritage, so visitors to the park can expect only the best in fun and entertainment to suit all who are proud of this beautiful country.

Wahooz on the Promenade will be presenting vibrant South African bands, Afro Divas on Saturday, September 10, No Fly Zone on Sunday, September 11 and The Meditators on Sunday, September 18.

Then, on the heritage weekend, Saturday, September 24, rock band, Warren Brothers, will take to the stage followed by Solomon Willy on Sunday, September 25.

Also on heritage weekend, uShaka Marine World will be featuring their legendary heritage parades at 10.45am and 1.45pm. The line-up includes Zulu dancers, marimba, Sotho dancers, Tswana dancers, Indian dancers, gumboot dancers, while Wet ‘n Wild-goers will also be able to dance to the vibes of DJ Daniel.
