Meg Rickards’ critically acclaimed feature film, ‘Tess’ hits the cinema circuit on February 24

After garnering awards and critical acclaim at film festivals in South Africa and abroad, director Meg Rickards’ (1994: The Bloody Miracle, Land of Thirst) feature film Tess will open at local cinemas on February 24.

Produced by Paul Egan and Kim Williams of Boondogle Films, Tess is based on Tracey Farren’s award-winning novel Whiplash and is a searing portrait of a young street worker desperately trying to still the demons of her past. Continue reading

Pieter-Dirk Uys will be performing his show ‘Echo of Noise’ in Pietermaritzburg.

This month sees the return of master satirist, Pieter-Dirk Uys, to the Hexagon Theatre in Golf Road, Pietermaritzburg, with two of his shows – The Echo of a Noise on Tuesday, February 21, Wednesday, February 22, Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25, and An Evening with Evita Bezuidenhout on Thursday, February 23 and Saturday, February 25.
