RUNNING until Saturday, January 16 at artSPACE durban is the 13th Annual Affordable Art Show.
Says Karen Bradkte: “We have managed to select and collect a wide range of fine art. The gallery is full of a wide selection of works to give the buyers plenty to choose from.
“The maximum sale price is R3 500 once again this year. Over 70 artists are participating and have brought us a variety of works from oil paintings, ceramics, prints, photographs, drawings and more.
“What is special about this exhibition over our others, is that when you purchase the artwork(s): you pay and then you can take!! This encourages people to buy during this show for themselves, family and friends!!”
The Annual Affordable Art Show gives people the chance to start their collections at an affordable price. If you are already a collector there is plenty to choose from to add to your collection.

Head to the Playhouse for great music and dance
THE Playhouse in Durban is hosting its Test Driving The Arts series in December.
The initiative provides up-and-coming artists with a platform for public performance. The performances are free to the public, and take place over lunchtimes just outside the Playhouse doors.
On December 15 from 12 noon to 2 pm catch Amatholamnyama – Ingoma Yezinsizwa; Champions – Amapansula; King – country music; and Fusion Musique (African vocals).
The Playhouse is also hosting Sundowner concerts on December 11 and 18 from 5 pm to 7 pm in the coffee shop. Thobeka Langa will perform on December 11 and 5th Season on December 18. Admission is free.
