FOLLOWING last week’s record breaking attendance at La Casa, during which Gangs of Ballet and Mali Zulu blew the audience away, and numerous well-attended music festivals around the Country, Maritzburg Musician’s Club plans to deliver more top-notch music.

On Tuesday, March 5, The Alley Cats, locally known from the Marshall Music shop, will be showcasing their gifts with a bit of swing, and a bit of bop! Also headed to the MMC are the Durban-based Kickstands, who deliver a tight, enjoyable acoustic sound. Continue reading

THE South African Theatre Season, presented by Drama for Life in partnership with Wits Theatre, Wits School of Arts and Wits Counselling, Careers and Development Unit, is back on home turf this year after a successful 2015 season at the State Theatre in Pretoria. Chloe Clark to launch debut EP in Durban

Durban-based singer, pianist and songwriter Chloe Clark will release her debut four-track EP, In Between, on the roof of the Roma Revolving Restaurant on Saturday, April 2.

Chloe is exceptionally happy with how the project has come together over the past two years and is also excited to have Bradley Grey and Nosihle Zulu open the event. In addition the eleven part vocal group she coaches as choir mistress at Thomas More College, The Retrobeats, will provide backing harmonies.
