The Playhouse Company is looking for talented KZN performers

MUSICIANS are invited to audition for the Playhouse Company’s 2018 Sundowner Concerts and the Test Driving the Arts programmes.

Over the years the Sundowner programme has become regular feature on Durban’s arts calendar.

Among those who have performed at the Durban venue are Khaya Dladla, Lu Dlamini, Ndu Shezi, Dani Foster Trio, Platform Jazz, Tutti Grooves, Natalie Rungan, Solomon Willy, Mbuso Khoza and Heels Over Head.

If you fancy being counted alongside them, then make sure you book your spot for the auditions on September 28.

Up-and-coming poets, and jazz, hip hop, maskandi, gospel and kwaito musicians, are encouraged to showcase their talents through the Test Driving the Arts programme. Auditions will be held in the Playhouse foyer on Septmber 29 and 30.

No walk-ins will be accommodated, so make sure you get a registration form from the Playhouse head office at 29 Acutt Street, Durban. The closing date for registration is Wednesday, September 20 at 12 noon.

Artists wanting to take part in the Sundowner concerts are asked to submit profiles and registration forms to Khulekani Kunene via email at testdrive@playhousecompany.com or by calling 031 369 9440 during office hours.
