DURBAN’S The Black Lapels return to the Hexagon Theatre at the University of KwaZulu-Natal at 7.30 pm on July 21 and July 22 to perform the music of Bruce Springsteen.
The band had a sell-out performance of their Creedance Clearwater Revival tribute show at the same venue in 2016.
Armed with a gifted skill set, Rob and Garth Warren, Chris Melling, Luke Wyngaard, and guitarist and vocalist Gary Nixon, will transport you through a retrospective catalogue of poetic lyrics, Americana and a commercially accessible working class rock.
Starting with Springsteen and the E street band’s breakthrough album Born to Run, the Black lapels build an unforgettable performance of Springsteen classics.
So, slide into your iconic white rolled up short sleeve t shirt, trusted blue denim jeans, stash that bandana in the back pocket and join the guys at the Hexagon theatre for an evening that was born to rock!
