The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal is hosting a concert featuring Kgalagadi Soul on Wednesday, May 17 at 6pm.
Kgalagadi Soul is a collaboration of three artists who got together in a bid to share what their individual countries has to offer to the world.
Mumba Yachi -Zambia (UN Ambassador for Gender Equality), Sereetsi -Botswana (Four-time BOMU awards winner) and Austebza -SA (Musical Director of Feather Awards 2016) have acquired a wealth of experience, wowing fans all over the world.
Kgalagadi Soul will share a bit of what they have released individually in their repertoire performed together using one band for one full and hot set.
The backing band will comprise of musicians from Nigeria (Akinwale James Kolesho – lead-guitar), Zimbabwe (Leroy Nyoni – drums) as well as the USA (Terry Lewis – saxophone) which makes this tour a strong collaborative affair.
