Exhibition of contemporary art at the Breathing Space gallery in Durban

Sharon Erichsen’s Memory Vessel (I – X).

‘Transition’, a three-day exhibition of  contemporary art will be staged from May 5 to May 7 at The Breathing Space, 191 Bulwer Road, Glenwood, Durban.

 

The show will feature 14 diverse artists working in many disciplines ranging from ceramics, henna gold leaf, printmaking, oil painting, drawing, mixed media and acrylic painting.

Subject matter includes: portrait painting and sculpture, ceramic vessels, contemporary still lives, abstract landscapes, an exploration into henna designs, city scapes etc.

The artists represented are: Miranda Crooks, Jeannie Kinsler, Ashley Viljoen, Melody French, Corné Eksteen, Grace Kotze, Nindya Tricam, Sharon Erichsen, Lesley Ireland Mathew, Nikhil Tricam, Dane Stops, Jane Oliver, Sarah Lovejoy and Pamela Benporath.

The exhibition is open from 3.30pm to 7.30pm on Friday, May 5 and from 10 am to 3.30pm on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7.
