Nobulali Productions, in association with The Playhouse Company, will present Nothing but The Truth by Dr John Kani, at 3 pm on Sunday, August 7 in the Playhouse Loft Theatre in Durban.

This is the only public performance of the work which has been created as a learning aid production geared to assist pupils who are studying the play as a set-work.

Hailed as “a deeply felt portrait that delicately weaves the extraordinary and the ordinary in its characters’ lives” (New York Times), Nothing but The Truth is a gripping investigation into the complex dynamic between those black people who remained in South Africa and risked their lives to lead the struggle against apartheid, and those who returned after living in exile.

This staging is directed by Hlatsi Mokgonyana and designed by Neil Coppen. The cast includes Ayanda Khowa-Fali as Thando, Rheem Manganyi as Mandisa, and Dambuza Nqumashe as Sipho.
