Comedy heavyweights, Kagiso Lediga and Conrad Koch, will be performing in Durban from June 29 to July 2. Joining them for the performances, hosted by On Fire Comedy, will be local funnymen Carvin Goldstone, Neil Green, Justice Kubheka, Mo Vawda, Rory Petzer (East Coast Radio), Jem Atkins and Johanesburg-based Suhayl Essa.
Conrad is South Africa’s top comedy ventriloquist, and is a double International Emmy nominated comedian. His most famous puppet, Chester Missing, has won numerous awards in his own right, including being the first recipient of the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation’s Anti-Racism Award.
Chester Missing has interviewed most of South Africa’s political elite and has held a number of regular radio and TV slots, and writes for City Press newspaper.
Conrad has appeared at most of South Africa’s biggest comedy events, and has done so internationally, including at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

Kagiso is recognised today as one of South Africa’s pioneering black comedians who has given an invaluable contribution to local comedy. For over a decade this multi talented comedian has entertained audiences in the live space, on the small screen, on the big screen and also now from behind the screen producing some of the most groundbreaking comedy content this country has ever seen.
He is a natural storyteller with an enigmatic comedy style that blends schoolboy charm with creative genius, sharp intelligence and wit.
Kagiso ventured into comedy while studying at the University of Cape Town and is now lauded amongst the best comedians in the country with an impressive body of work. He has graced the stages of all the biggest comedy events in South Africa including the most prestigious one in the Cape Town International Comedy Festival where he won the People’s Choice Award in the company of acclaimed comedians from all over the world.
Other comedy events he has performed at are Bafunny Bafunny, Nandos Comedy Festival, Heavyweight Comedy Jams, Blacks Only, Pure Monate Comedy Jam, Let Durban Laugh Festival, the internationally renowned Edinburgh Comedy Festival and comedy clubs in New York and Toronto – Carolines and Yuks Yuks respectively.
