THE Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at the Howard College campus on University of KwaZulu-Natal is hosting a bass showcase on Wednesday, May 18 at 6 pm.
The show will feature the Jazz bass faculty and students of UKZN presenting works by Duke Ellington, Miles Davis and Jaco Pastorious and some originals by the participants, Giyani Shangase, Charles Ndakane, Micale Leon, Ildo Nandja and Dalisu Ndlazi.
This concert will be the second in a series of instrumental showcases planned over the course of the year. Expect to hear tunes like Neria by Oliver Mtukudzi , Paz a todos by Ildo Nandja, and more.
