Storm wins trip to Nashville to participate in international talent show

image001It’s been a good few months for local singing sensation, Storm. Not only did his debut single Keep Calm become a nationwide hit, but he has grown a substantial following.

Now he has set his sights on Nashville, Tennessee as he is set to compete in the grand finale of international online singing competition, SuperXtar.

The SuperXtar grand finale will see the 12 monthly winners battle it out in the hopes of taking crown at the finale on October 26.

Storm beat out countless contestants before initially winning the weekly heat he participated in. Once four weekly winners are announced, they are pitted against each other with only one winning a spot in the final.

“Winning the SuperXtar monthly contest is so unbelievable,” Storm says. “At the moment, I’m still in complete shock. I am so excited to be heading out to Nashville. Not only is it the home of country music, but it’s a place where so many dreams become realities. This is an amazing opportunity which will hopefully open a lot of doors for me.

“I am grateful to be representing not only my talent but also to show the world what South Africa is made of. I’m both excited and nervous to compete against talent from all around the world, but I am ready – and always up for a challenge.”

Should Storm win this year’s SuperXtar competition, he takes home a recording contract, $100,000 cash as well as a restored Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Storm has also been working on his upcoming second single which is due for release later this month. The track, titled Get Ready, is produced by South African Music Award-winning producer Alexis Faku and is expected to make the singer even more of a household name.
