WORLD-celebrated guitar virtuoso, Guy Buttery, will be joined by the legendary South African stalwart, Nibs van der Spuy, and drummer extraordinaire, Gareth Gale, to launch his new album in Durban.

Simply entitled Guy Buttery, with his sixth studio he returns with a brand new approach to South African musical landscapes – seamlessly merging traditional musical genres with ambient and groove driven psychedelia.

The album is almost two years in the making and sees him collaborating with some of the country’s finest musicians, including Vusi Mahlasela, Dan Patlansky, Nibs Van Der Spuy, Shane Cooper, Derek Gripper, and Chris Letcher – as well as French-based singer Piers Faccini, and one of Guy’s lifelong musical heroes, multi-Grammy Award winner and founder of Windham Hill Records, Will Ackerman.

A multi-award winning musician and one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the world today, Guy continues to bring his deep sense of musical understanding into his compositions – his songs are delicate, yet fierce, profoundly deliberate, yet still spontaneous and playful. He is truly one of the country’s finest fingerstyle guitarists and one of South Africa’s most talented musical exports.

Guy Buttery is available on iTunes, Amazon, Deezer and numerous other outlets. To stream, or buy the album on download, CD or vinyl, visit -https://guybuttery.bandcamp.com/. CD’s, LP’s and t-shirts will be on sale on at all of the concerts.
