Kicking off its New Stages Season, The Playhouse Company presents a work based on the real-life story of cultural icon, Can Themba.

Crepuscule (which means ‘twilight’), written by Themba, has been adapted for the stage by Khayelihle Dom Gumede for the New Stages Season. It is a story about human connection and the search for freedom and humanity in a world that sought to deny it. Continue reading

John Kani’s ‘Nothing at the Truth’ at the Playhouse in Durban

Nobulali Productions, in association with The Playhouse Company, will present Nothing but The Truth by Dr John Kani, at 3 pm on Sunday, August 7 in the Playhouse Loft Theatre in Durban.

This is the only public performance of the work which has been created as a learning aid production geared to assist pupils who are studying the play as a set-work. Continue reading
