Cape Dance Company presents A Thousand Shepherds at Artscape

The contemporary classical Cape Dance Company, under the artistic direction of Debbie Turner, celebrates its 21st anniversary this year by presenting five performances at the Artscape Theatre from March 18 to 20.

The season, sponsored principally by the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NDTLF) features the African première of Spanish/British choreographer, José Agudo’s acclaimed work, A Thousand Shepherds. Continue reading

Memorable music at Himeville church

VIOLINIST, Joanna Frankel (pictured),  and pianist, Christopher Duigan, will play music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven,  George Gershwin and Alberto Ginastera on  Friday, November 13 at 7.30 pm at the St Michaels and All Angels Church in Himeville.

Frankel is a Juilliard graduate and Concert Master of the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra and Pietrmaritzburg-based Duigan is a concert pianist who has performed with the KZN Philharmonic and at festivals and venues across South Africa.
