The Hexagon Theatre on the Pietermaritzburg campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal is hosting its 10th annual Minifest! on February 26 and 27. Whether you love comedy or drama, this mini festival will offer theatre pieces to suit all tastes. The shows on offer include brand new theatre creations and award winners from other festivals. Tickets are R60 per show and there are special discounts if you book for more than one. The Theatre Arts Admin Collective is calling for applications for the 2016 Theatre Arts Admin Collective Emerging Theatre Directors Bursary – in partnership with the Baxter Theatre Centre and the Distell Foundation.

Wanted: children to perform in KickStArt Theatre’s Winnie The Pooh

KickstArt Theatre Company will be presenting a colourful and faithful adaptation of AA Milne’s classic children’s story, Winnie the Pooh over the July school holidays- and they are looking for children to take part in the show.

Auditions will take place on Saturday, February 27 at the Playhouse Mayville workshops/studios in Ramsay Road, Mayville from  10 am sharp. Continue reading
