The Roots 2000 Project will see SLIQ ANGEL and MXO perform at the Bassline in Johannesburg on September 11. MXO is an aspiring hip-hop artist, who had never performed with live instruments, and SLIQ ANGEL is budding songwriter and skilled guitarist. They shared a common affinity for the Eastern Cape, mostly Xhosa sound. Jamming together they have created an innovative and relevant style of music, and forged a lifelong spiritual connection.
