CELLIST, Aristide du Plessis (above left), and pianist, Christopher Duigan, will perform Cello Song at St Agnes Church in Kloof at 7.30pm on Thursday, May 25 and at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg at 11.30 am on Sunday, May 28.
Du Plessis, a Westville Boys High School old boy, is the co-principal cello of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra. He studied at University of Cape Town and in Zurich, Switzerland.
Together with Duigan he will perform music by Tchaikovsky, including his celebrated Andante cantabile and Pezzo Capriccioso, Piazzolla’s Grand Tango, music by Gabriel Fauré as well as the Sonata No. 2 for Cello and Piano by Ludwig van Beethoven.
