Sean Cameron Michael delivers an award-winning performance in ‘Last Broken Darkness’.

South African-born actor, Sean Cameron Michael, has won the best performance by an actor award for his role in the locally filmed movie Last Broken Darkness at the 2017 Boston Science Fiction Film Festival, in February.

Michael, also recently picked up an award for best cast at the Sci-Fi Underground Film Festival in Munich for his role in Tears in the Rain, an award he shared with his co-star Russel Savadier. Continue reading

These are just some of the faces of MTV Shuga: Down South, the 12- part new drama series from MTV Staying Alive Foundation and MTV Base. The show premieres on Wednesday, 8 March on MTV Base (South Africa) on at 9.30pm CAT and on MTV Base (rest of Africa) at 10.05pm WAT. Continue reading

Enjoy some fun, alternative rock with Durban band, Autopilot

Durban band Autopilot will be performing at the Live Fridays event on Friday, March 3 at La Casa in Quarry Road, Pietermaritzburg.

Formed in early 2015, all three members of this fun, alternative rock band have been part of the Durban music scene for a long time. The band is made up of Shane Strachan on vocals and guitar, Steven Murray on guitars and vocals, Raul Diaz on drums and percussion and Jon-Claude Stirling on bass guitar.

Entry is R30 before 9pm,  and R40 thereafter.
