In March 2017 Dame Vera Lynn will turn 100 years old. To this day, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are familiar with her warm and beautiful voice. A voice, some say, helped to win a war.
A few years ago she was number one on the hit parade in England, with a re-release of her wartime album Hits of the Blitz. Not many 95-year-olds can boast that achievement!
