The Kickstands will be performing at the Cargo Hold at uShaka Marine World.

You don’t have to plan a weekend getaway to sip a craft beer while savouring some country inspired cuisine. Instead you can simply head down to Cargo Hold at uShaka Marine World on Saturday, February 25 at 6pm.

The brew master of Red Rocks Craft Beer will provide some insightful information on their famous brews and offer tasters of their Rusty Trigger Larger, Bad Moon Crystal Weiss Beer, Storm Rider Pilsner and Nine Inch Ale.

As for the food, you can choose from sticky buffalo wings and beer battered haloumi cheese or steak quesadillas to start; followed by either three cheese macaroni, a craft burger, a gourmet fish burger, chicken schnitzel or BBQ, honey ribs for your main course. Dessert options include toffee apple pudding or a country style cheesecake.

Providing the music will be the Kickstands, made up of Indie’s at heart, Durban duo Gary Nixon and Rudi Greyvenstein.

They have performed at small intimate venues as well as major festivals both in South Africa and abroad; and have performed with and supported many of South Africa’s top musos, that of Goldfish, Just Jinger, Goodluck, Gangs of Ballet, Desmond and the Tutus and Arno Carstens amongst others.

To book a night of good beer, food and Indie music, call Cargo Hold on 031 328 8065. Tickets are R300 per person.
