Arno Carstens is set to perform a surprise concert on the Caversham Mill Restaurant lawns in the KZN Midlands on Saturday, July 17 at 2.30 pm.

The lead singer of Springbok Nude Girls and solo artist has released 10 studio albums. He has had over 20 top ten singles, won five South African Music Awards and shared the stage with legends of the music world including U2, The Rolling Stones and REM.

Arno has also toured sold out shows extensively in South Africa, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, headlined every major South African festival and performed at legendary international music festivals including Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, V Festival, T in the Park and Hard Rock Calling.

Midlands diva, Cat Simoni, will be performing fabulous Françoise Hardy pop hits like: Find Me A Boy, All Over The World, Catch A Falling Star, Only You Can Do It, In Another Place, This Little Heart, The Way Of Love and classic Jacques Brel songs: Brussels, Amsterdam, Carousel, Madeleine, The Bulls, Marieke Marieke and If We Only Have Love at Caversham Mill Restaurant in the KZN Midlands on Thursday, July 14.

Cat is back home after a decade of entertaining at London’s five star venues and exclusive clubs such as The Ritz, Dorchester, Carlton, Mayfair and Royal Automobile Club Berkeley. The show’s director, Paul Spence, performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon and at theatres from Vienna to Copenhagen, London to Tokyo .

12 musicians strike the right note for SAMRO competition

The battle is on for the country’s best young instrumentalists, after SAMRO Foundation unveiled the 12 semi-finalists in the 2016 Overseas Scholarships Competition.

Six jazz and six Western art music performers will be competing for two R200 000 scholarships to further their music studies abroad, plus an array of additional awards. Continue reading
