TUNE into the 25th annual MTV Movie Awards on MTV (DStv channel 130) on Monday, April 11 at 8.30 pm (CAT) for the pre-show and 9 pm for the awards show. Recently in South Africa with sold out shows, Kevin Hart will host the show alongside larger than life actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The awards will honour the Prince Of Bel-Air, Will Smith with the MTV Generation Award. Will has previously won five MTV Movie Awards and has been nominated seventeen times. This actor, musician and producer has also hosted the awards in 1994.

Adding to the high-wattage celebrity sizzle, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain from The Huntsmen: Winter’s War, Seth Rogen and Zac Efron from Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Olivia Munn from X-Men: Apocalypse, and supermodel Gigi Hadid are scheduled to present.

Nominees for the 2016 MTV Movie Awards include Avengers: Age of Ultron, Creed, Deadpool, Jurassic World, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Straight Outta Compton.
