Charlene Brouwer in Dis Ek Anna

Times Media Films, distributor of the Afrikaans language feature film Dis ek, Anna (It’s Me, Anna) announced today its intention to appeal the classification after the Film and Publication Board imposed a 18 LV (SV) classification on the final film.

The festival version of the film was initially given a 18 L (SV) classification ahead of its premiere screening at the Durban International Film Festival in July.  With the final music score having been completed, the Film and Publication Board (FPB) classified the now final version of the film.

Dis ek, Anna goes on limited release at Ster-Kinekor Cinema Nouveau Rosebank next Friday (September 18) and will carry the 18 L (SV) classification. The film will release wide in South Africa on October 23.
