In January 2016, South Africa’s biggest choral music showcase returns for its third and biggest season to date. Mzansi Magic’s Clash of the Choirs powered by Metropolitan, is back starting with auditions in seven South African provinces, taking place in September and October this year.
The auditions kick off in Johannesburg from September 19 to 21, followed by Kwazulu-Natal, the Free State, and Mpumalanga (simultaneously) from September 26 to 28 Sep; and the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Polokwane from October 3 to 5 October (simultaneously).
Sphumelele Sibeko, Mzansi Magic’s head of reality told TheLuvvie.com: “This season is set to be the biggest and most exciting yet. Expect a wealth of entertainment from a dynamic group this year. We have upped the viewing value of the series to ensure we deliver world class content in each and every episode, but it all starts with the participants so please come out in numbers to the regional auditions.”
Last season was won by Team Robbie of Kwazulu-Natal, who defeated Team Shugasmakx of Gauteng and Team Moneoa from Mpumalanga. This season promises more dramatic twists with massive prize packages, alongside a R250 000 donation to a deserving charity.
