Durban dancer, choreographer, and arts activist, Lliane Loots, has received the coveted Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from the French Government.

In acknowledgement and celebration of Loots life’s work in growing, making and supporting dance in South Africa, and in conjunction with the support she has offered to French artists visiting and working in South Africa, this Knighthood was gently and beautifully bestowed by Ambassador Christophe Farnaud on his very first visit to Durban. Vuyani’s Lulu flies SA flag high at US dance fest

Vuyani Dance Theatre’s Lulu Mlangeni has jetted off to the United States to take part in a choreographers’ residency at the American Dance Festival.
