BEAUTIFUL music takes, performed by world class musicians, will take centre stage when the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra performs in the Pietermaritzburg City Hall on Friday, March 24 at 7.30 pm.

Presented by the KZN Philharmonic, in association with Christopher Duigan’s Music Revival and Parklane SuperSpar, the annual Symphony in the City, will feature solo performances by three of the orchestra’s most outstanding young musicians: Aristide du Plessis (cello), Junnan Sun (clarinet) and Fifi Olifant (violin). POPULAR Cape Town-based guitarist, James Grace, will be performing in three Music Revival concerts in Kloof and Pietermaritzburg this month.

Grace, who recently performed with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra in Kirstenbosch to more than 7 000 people, will join forces with pianist, Christopher Duigan, for the recitals at the Tatham Art Gallery at 3 pm on Sunday, February 19, Casa Mexicana at 35 Montgomery Road on Tuesday, February 21 and at St Agnes Church in Kloof on Thursday, February 23. TO celebrate the start of Music Revival’s 20th year presenting classical music concerts, Christopher Duigan will be performing his favourite masterpieces at St Agnes Church in Kloof at 7.30 pm on Thursday, January 26 and at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg at 3 pm on Sunday, January 29.
