Unearthed, a groundbreaking, award-winning, independent South African documentary, will be screened at 6 pm for 6.30 pm on Wednesday, February 17 at Tanglewood Country House.
In the film a young South African, Jolynn Minnaar, swallows her optimism on fracking in her Karoo hometown after a mysterious phone call from the United States leads her to uncover the hidden truths of the gas industry.
Unearthed challenges the assertion that hydraulic fracturing is a safe, time-tested technology and questions whether shale gas is the solution for our energy-hungry world.
