Maritzburg Musician’s Club to pay tribute to David Bowie

Maritzburg Musician’s Club is hosting an intricate evening by MMC stalwarts and pioneers: Ilan Lax, Brian Bedingfield and friends.
Patrons will be entertained by a sort of musical chairs of talented musicians and the widest range of instruments you’ve seen four people play!
And as a special feature of the evening, the MMC are going to attempt to top a Youtube event that saw over 500 people singing Space Oddity in memory of David Bowie. We may not get to 500, but come and lend your voice anyway. (Words will be available).

Amandla Freedom Ensemble at Newtown Junction

In the past, jazz music has come to symbolise diverse agendas including freedom and democratic values, symbols seen as a threat to order and a civil society with oppressive agendas.
