Musgrave Methodist Church, in Durban’s Musgrave Road, is hosting its now annual sixth International Food Fair for one evening only on Friday, November 6. They will be offering a myriad international dishes, patriotic fare, exotic cuisine and delicious desserts in the church hall and gardens from 5.30 pm until 8.30 pm.
The event is a fundraiser for the church’s property and projects, to create awareness about the activities of the church, and to enjoy unusual food, fellowship and great company.
The global menu features spring rolls by the Chinese community; Potjie (Reverend Bosch’s personal contribution), boerewors rolls and pancakes from South Africa; Pizza from Italy; mouth-watering bunnychows and briyani from India; Greek style lamb rolls, Chorizo soup, Lasagne, sweets and candyfloss for the children and an oasis of delicious desserts and cakes. To finish it all off, cappuccinos, tea, coffee or cool drinks will be on sale.
There will also be a jumping castle for the children and a sweet store to keep them busy.
“We are hoping our Food Fair provides a fun, family-friendly, affordable alternative to an evening of home cooking for families on the Berea and beyond,” says Musgrave Methodist’s Reverend Stuart Bosch.
