Will Chester find himself or will he stay Missing?

Chester Missing and Conrad Koch.

Bringing you the funniest, freshest material in his hilarious new show, MissingSouth Africa’s most notorious and controversial puppet, Chester Missing, is making his way to the Joburg Theatre from October 20 to November 7. As always, Chester will be accompanied by his faithful sidekick, Conrad Koch.

Conrad also insists on dragging two other puppets around with them (like those family members that you can’t really get rid of but would like to) – Ronnie, the monster, who has been known to try sell drugs to audience members and Conrad’s life coach and mentor, Charles Hilary, the vodka soaked ostrich.

Chester, like many South Africans, has some questions that he tries to find answers for like Where are we going? Who are we? Will Jacob Zuma pay back the money? Why is there a white guy keeping him in a suitcase? Will Chester find himself or will he stay Missing?

Ironically, Chester has gone missing on two different occasions this year – the first from a flight from Tanzania in May and the most recent on a connecting flight from France after the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

Brought to life by Conrad Koch, this revolutionary dummy is well known for his often outrageous, punch-packing, funny and frank views on the current South African state of affairs.

Conrad is one of South Africa’s most in demand comedy talents. He and Chester are members of the twice International EMMY nominated LNN team and Chester was one of New African Magazine’s Most Influential Africans for 2014.

The show takes place in The Fringe at Joburg Theatre, The Joburg Theatre Complex, Biccard Street, Johannesburg at 8 pm. Tickets are R120 and are available through Computicket.
