Jam for Sam

Sam

Sam Musk

Bluff resident, Sam Musk, was shot and severely injured during a hi-jacking incident recently.

Recently divorced she is the mother of two young children and, working as a commission-only insurance broker, she only has a hospital plan, which is insufficient to cover her current and future medical expenses, which will include trauma counselling, intensive physio-therapy, neuro-surgeon’s fees, amongst others.

In an effort to raise funds for Sam, musicians in Durban have organised a benefit concert at Fynnland Combined Sports Club.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 24, and will feature 10 of Durban’s most popular rock and pop bands who will play free of charge.

Acts who have already confirmed are Salty Dog, Calamity Jam, DV 8, Jo’s Garage,Southern Crisis, Delwyn & The Gypsies, Bobby & The Dynamites, Mongoose In The Shed, Zisamo, Jo’s Garage and Buckshot.

The doors will be open from midday and the music will start at 1 pm. There will also be a jumping castle, a clown act and face painting for kids.

The organisers will hold raffles and lucky draws throughout the day to supplement monies raised from the R30 per person minimum entrance fee.
