FROM 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday, October 17, West Street will be covered with a 300 meter long slippery slide as Sandton becomes an urban playground for Slide Jozi.
Slide Jozi, which will cater to adults and kids (six years of age and older), will give fun seekers a 300 meter slide down West Street with the city’s concrete landscape as the setting for this adventurous ride. The Slide will start at the top of West Street heading towards Rivonia road and come to an end by safely stopping in a pool of water.

Sliding times will be broken down in four slots allowing people to the pick the time slot they would like to experience the slide of their life and buy tickets accordingly. Tickets will also be on sale for unlimited slides throughout the day and there will be spectator tickets on sale for the few who prefer not to brave the slide.

Other attractions include an entertainment section with live music, a beer garden (over 18s only) and a food court. The live entertainment will be provided by TiMO ODV, HouseHold Funk, Sisco Umlambo, Apollo, Shorty on SAX, Kyle Cassim, Mark Stent, Vin Groovin, DJ JC and Felix Brendel.

Please note that your ticket allows you two slides for your allocated time slot. If you miss your time slot, no refunds will be given and you will forfeit your place. It also allows you to enter the food court, beer garden (over 18s only) and main entertainment area).

Bring towels, costumes, hats, sunscreen and a smile. Don’t bring food, drinks, cooler boxers, umbrellas, water pistols (these will not be allowed in).
