After receiving rave reviews in Cape Town the smash hit local production of West Side Story will now be moving to Jozi. The show will be presented at the Mandela Theatre (Joburg Theatre) in August and September by popular demand.

West Side Story , which ends a staggeringly successful, sold-out run this week at the Artscape Opera House in Cape Town, is the Fugard Theatre’s first out of house production, five years on from the iconic theatre’s official opening in 2010.

Eric Abraham and the Fugard Theatre, the creators and producers of other outstanding runaway hits like The Rocky Horror Show, Kat & the Kings, Orpheus in Africa and Cabaret, have created a phenomenal 100% South African production on an unprecedented grand-scale that has left audiences mesmerised night after night.

The production will run until September 18 and tickets are on sale through Computicket. Given how the Cape Town season sold out, advance booking is highly recommended.
