It’s time to get All Shook Up with Elvis at the Rhumbelow

The Rhumbelow Theatres in Pietermaritzburg and Durban are hosting Elvis – Trilogy featuring Doug Weich and his eight-piece band MSG. This Rocktainment Production covers the three major musical eras of Elvis.Joined by Wade Wight (keyboards and backing vocals), Ollie Hart  (piano), Jill Murray Brown (bass guitar), Graham Buckle (drums), Andy Turrell and Bruce Boome (lead guitar), Tammy Saville and Marion Loudon (female vocals) and Kirsty Madgin (saxophone), fans can look forward to hearing songs like That’s Alright Mama, Blue Suede Shoes, All Shook Up, Hound Dog, Love Me Tender, Heartbreak Hotel, Are You Lonesome Tonight and Suspicious Minds, to name but a few.

Doug will portray Elvis in the 50’s, Elvis in the 68’ Comeback Special and the ultimate, Elvis in Las Vegas! Based in Ballito, he is a popular ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) who has performed country wide.

Showtimes: 2 pm and 6.30 pm on Sunday, August 16 at the Rhumbelow Theatre in Pietermaritzburg, Allan Wilson Shellhole, Alan Paton Road.

8 pm on Friday, August 21 and August 22, 6.30 pm on Sunday, August 23, 8 pm on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, and 2 pm and 6.30 pm on Sunday, August 30 at the Rhumbelow Theatre in Cunningham Avenue, Umbilo, Surban.

Both venues open 90 minutes before show for picnic meals. Bring food but no drinks – there is a cash bar.
