Enjoy smooth jazz with Heels Over Head in Hammarsdale

HEELS Over Head, the all-female jazz/pop band from Durban, will be performing in Hammarsdale for the first time in their career on Saturday, August 15.A love of jazz music brought the girls together towards to end of 2008. Since then they have been hard at work composing, rehearsing and recording new music and and performing around KwaZulu-Natal and the country.

Their music is described as smooth jazz or easy-breezy pop jazz, and Heels Over Head is known for making the audience get on their feet and dance.

The band is made up of vocalists, Thulile Zama and Nomkhosi Mazibuko, drummer Rebekah Doty, pianist Mandy Cobbing and guitarist Chillie Wardell-Stent.

Catch Heels Over Head at Seaman’s Corner in Hammarsdale at 6 pm on Augsut 15. Tickets are R30.

  • The concert is supported by Concerts SA, a joint South African/Norwegian project housed under the auspices of the SAMRO Foundation. The project aims to stimulate live music in South Africa by finding and implementing ways to create regular, sustainable performance platforms.
    Concerts SA also aims to develop an interest in and appreciation of live music by showcasing music performances and conducting workshops at schools.
