Clinton Marius’s hit comedy B!*ch Stole My Doek starring Shona Johnson is set to play on the 2015 National Arts Festival Fringe.
This follows the production’s highly successful debut run in Durban and a triumphant season at UKZN’s Hexagon Theatre in Pietermaritzburg when award-winning playwright-director Clinton Marius showcased actress Shona Johnson in his sizzling new comedy to unanimous acclaim.
A raucous satire with a twist, B!*ch Stole My Doek pokes fun at a war of words over a missing item of laundry. Colourful language and hysteria offer an insider’s view of life in a working class suburb, as the comical battle between neighbours heats up and boils over, with unexpected results.
B!*ch Stole My Doek plays in the Scout Hall in Grahamstown. Performances are on July 2 12 noon, July 3 at 2 pm, July 4 at 10 am, July 5 at 8.30 pm, July 7 at 2.30 pm and 9 pm and on July 8 at 10 am. Early booking is advised. To book, visit www.nationalartsfestival.co.za
